Bridge $USDT to Sei

💡 The following methods are available as of Feb 20, 2025

Method 1: Using Stargate via Yei Bridge (Fastest, but subject to slippage)

  1. Connect your wallet and select the source chain. Choose Sei EVM as the destination. (Avalanche is the fastest source chain with ~1 min arrival time)

  2. Enter the amount of USDT to bridge and review the transaction.

  3. Confirm and approve the transaction in your wallet.

  4. Wait for the transfer to complete and verify the funds in your Sei wallet.

Method 2: Using IBC via KAVA Bridge (No slippage, but more setup required)

💡 Best for large amounts, as it avoids slippage. Requires Keplr wallet and a CEX account supporting KAVAEVM.

  1. Transfer USDT to your Keplr wallet

    • Create a Keplr wallet

    • Send USDT from your CEX (e.g., Binance) to your KAVAEVM wallet on Keplr

  2. Get KAVA for gas

    • Purchase KAVA from a CEX and send ~1 KAVA to your Keplr wallet (EVM address)

    • Bridge USDT from KAVA EVM to Sei

    • KAVA Bridge will handle the IBC transfer automatically

    • Confirm and approve the transaction

  3. Send funds from Keplr to your Metamask wallet (Sei EVM)

  4. Supply USDT on Yei

    • Connect your wallet, find USDT, click "Supply", enter the amount, and confirm

🎉 That’s it! You are now utilizing your USDT to earn rewards and Yei points.

Bridge USDT Out of Sei

Method 1: Using Stargate via Yei Bridge (Fastest, but subject to slippage)

  1. Select Sei as the source chain and your desired destination chain

  2. Enter the amount of USDT and review the estimated slippage

  3. Confirm and approve the transaction

  4. Wait for completion and check your destination wallet

Method 2: Using IBC via KAVA Bridge (No slippage)

💡 Best for large transfers. Requires Keplr wallet and a CEX account supporting KAVAEVM.

  1. Withdraw USDT from Yei to your Keplr wallet

    • Option 1: Send from Metamask (Sei EVM) to Keplr (EVM)

    • Option 2: Import Metamask private key into Keplr

    • Connect Keplr (as Sei wallet) and Metamask (as KAVA EVM wallet)

    • Bridge USDT from Sei to KAVA EVM

    • Confirm and approve the transaction

  2. Wait for bridge to complete (auto-handled by KAVA IBC)

  3. Send USDT to your CEX account (e.g., Binance)

Both methods have their pros and cons—Stargate is simpler but subject to slippage, while IBC via KAVA Bridge avoids slippage but requires more steps.

💡 For large transfers, always start with a small test transaction first to ensure everything works as expected.
