What is SolvBTC?

SolvBTC is a BTC asset issued by Solv Protocol, designed to maximize Bitcoin’s capital efficiency while maintaining a decentralized and composable structure. It is primarily available on Sei, Ethereum, and other EVM-compatible networks.

Where do I get SolvBTC?

You can get SolvBTC from:

  • On-chain swaps via Sei-based DEXs like Sailor and Symphony.

  • Solv Protocol by depositing BTC or wBTC.

  • Other DEXs like Uniswap and 1inch (EVM).

Get SolvBTC on Sei

Method 1: Swap for SolvBTC on Sei

  1. Swap via Symphony.

    • Navigate to Symphony.

    • Swap any asset for SolvBTC.

    • Approve the transaction.

Method 2: Bridge SolvBTC to Sei via Solv Protocol

  1. Get SolvBTC on Solv Finance.

    • Acquire wBTC from a CEX or swap on a DEX.

    • Navigate to Solv Protocol.

    • Deposit wBTC to mint SolvBTC.

    • Approve the transaction.

  2. Bridge SolvBTC to Sei.

    • Navigate to Cross-Chain tab on Solv.

    • Select your source chain and Sei as the destination.

    • Review the bridge recommendation and proceed.

    • Approve the transaction.

Supply SolvBTC on Yei

  1. Navigate to the Yei Finance dashboard.

  2. Select Solv Market.

    • Locate SolvBTC, and click "Supply".

  3. Enter the amount and confirm the transaction.

🎉 That’s it! You are now utilizing your SolvBTC to earn rewards and Yei points.

Bridge SolvBTC out of Sei

Method: Cross chain via Solv Protocol

  1. Bridge out via Solv Protocol.

    • Navigate to Solv Cross Chain tab.

    • Select Sei as the source chain and choose your destination chain.

    • Review the bridge recommendation.

    • Approve the transaction.

  2. Redeem wBTC on Solv Protocol.

    • Navigate to the SolvBTC page.

    • Select "Withdraw" and approve the withdrawal.

    • Confirm the redemption and wait for the 7-day unlock period.

    • Navigate to the portfolio page to claim wBTC after the waiting period.

For large transfers, start with a small test transaction to ensure a smooth process. Once comfortable, gradually increase the amount. Performing multiple test transactions is recommended to understand how the bridge operates.
