# Asset Guide - USDY

## What is USDY?

USDY (US Dollar Yield) is a **yield-bearing dollar asset** issued by Ondo Finance and available on Sei.

It is backed by **short-term U.S. Treasuries and bank deposits**, allowing it to generate yield that accrues directly to holders. Unlike traditional stablecoins, USDY is designed to provide both **price stability and passive yield** in a single asset.

### Eligibility

USDY is only available to users outside the United States.

### Where do I get USDY?

You can acquire USDY on Sei through:
